Important Points About Age Limit
- Age is always counted on the cut-off date given in the notification, not on the date you apply.
- Use the date of birth as per your matriculation (10th) certificate.
- Relaxation is added to the upper age limit. For example, a 27 year limit with 3 years OBC relaxation becomes 30 years.
- If you belong to more than one category, only the benefit permitted by the notification applies. Relaxations are usually not added together unless the rules say so.
- This calculator treats the maximum age as a limit you must stay below on the cut-off date (for example, “not attained 32 years”). If your notification words it differently, check the cut-off wording carefully.
