How To Apply (आवेदन कैसे करें)

1. Candidates have to go to the AWES website https://www.awesindia.com and click on the option “Register for OST 2025” which will open a new screen of Application Portal.

2. Registration is open from 5^th June 2025 to 16^th Aug 2025. After this date, the portal will be closed.

3. An individual candidate may apply for a maximum of three posts (PRT, TGT, PGT), with only one subject/stream in each post, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for each. A separate application must be submitted for each post.

4. Candidates are strongly advised not to log into any other WEBSITE for information on the online screening test and for registration. Always use the official portal mentioned above.

5. Candidates must have a valid personal email ID and mobile number, which should remain active until the completion of OST 2025. All communication related to the examination may be sent to the registered email ID. If a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, they should create one along with a mobile number before applying online and ensure both are maintained throughout the process.

6. You will receive an OTP on your mobile number and email ID, which is necessary to complete the registration.

7. Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation message and login credentials via email and SMS.

8. After logging in, you will be redirected to fill the application form for a New Post. If you have already applied for any post and wish to view it, click on “My Application”.

9. If you don’t receive the OTP in your email inbox, please check your SPAM folder. If you find it there, mark the email as ‘Not Spam’ / ‘Looks safe’ to ensure future emails are delivered directly to your inbox.

10. Ensure you have your AADHAR Card ready.

11. While filling out the online form, you will need to upload the following documents:

• Recent Photograph
• Signature
• Proof of Date of Birth (10th Marksheet/ Birth Certificate)
• PwBD Certificate (if applicable)

12. There is no reservation for any category or PwBD candidates for any of the posts. PwBD candidates may refer to the “PwBD Guidelines” tab for more information.

13. Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.

14. The Name of the candidate or his/her Father/Mother etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

15. The exam fee of Rs 385/- (Rupees three hundred eighty-five only) must be paid online.

16. Payment can be made via UPI, Debit/Credit Cards, or Net Banking. The website is integrated with a payment gateway to guide you through the process.

17. Candidate(s) must keep the printout of the Application Form, which can be done by clicking on the Form Preview button.

18. Carefully review and fill in all details before submitting the application fee.

19. Ensure all information is accurate. Incorrect information may result in cancellation or rejection of your application during scrutiny.

20. During the Application/Correction Window, Candidates will be allowed to edit their application details except for the following fields:-

🧑‍🏫 Selection Process (In Detail)

The AWES selection process includes three major stages:

🔹 Stage 1: Online Screening Test (OST)

The OST is a computer-based MCQ exam conducted nationwide. It is designed to test subject knowledge, pedagogy, current affairs, and other teacher-specific skills.

✅ OST Highlights:

• Duration: 3 hours

• Total Questions: 200 MCQs

• Total Marks: 200

• Negative Marking: ¼ mark deducted per wrong answer

• Format: Subject-specific + General Pedagogy + GK

✅ Validity of OST Score:

• Candidates will receive a Score Card valid for life.

• OST is not mandatory to apply for interviews, but preferred.

• If selected without OST, the candidate must qualify within 2 years (min 50% score).

📊 Paper Structure (Blueprint)

Each level (PGT, TGT, PRT) has a unique structure based on its academic requirements.

🔹 For PRT:

• Basic GK & Current Affairs – 5% (10 Questions)

• Pedagogy & NEP – 10% (20 Questions)

• Subject Proficiency – 85% (170 Questions)

🔹 For TGT:

• Basic GK & Current Affairs – 5%

• Pedagogy & Curriculum – 10%

• Subject Knowledge (NCERT-based VI–X) – 85%

🔹 For PGT:

• Basic GK & Current Affairs – 5%

• Pedagogy (Secondary + Sr. Secondary) – 10%

• Subject Knowledge (IX–XII + Postgrad level) – 85%

🔹 Stage 2: Interview

After OST, candidates must apply to individual Army Public Schools based on their announced vacancies.

Interview Details:

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.

• Interviews may be conducted at the school or a central cluster location.

• The interview includes:

  • Evaluation of Teaching Skills

  • Essay Writing and Comprehension (especially for language teachers – 15 marks each)

  • Computer Proficiency Test (if opted by school)

Final merit depends on interview + OST scores (if applicable).

🔹 Stage 3: Appointment & Document Verification

• Selection will be made at the school/cluster level.

• Final appointment requires police verification.

• For spouses of Armed Forces personnel, verification is done by Commanding Officer/Station HQ.
