Qualification (योग्यता)

• Junior Engineer (Civil) : Diploma in Civil Engineering (3 years) from a recognized institution OR Bachelor of Engineering / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Junior Engineer (Electrical) : Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 years) from a recognized institution OR Bachelor of Engineering / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Assistant Engineer (Civil) : Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PH candidates).
• Assistant Section Officer (ASO) : Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Typing Speed: 40 words per minute in English OR 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Legal Assistant : Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university. Enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council. Typing Speed: 40 words per minute in English OR 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer.
• Candidate must be a Citizen of India.

How To Apply (आवेदन कैसे करें)

1. Visit the official DSSSB Online Application Portal at dsssbonline.nic.in.
2. If you are a new user, click on “New Registration”. If already registered, directly login with your credentials.
3. For new registration, provide basic details: Name, Date of Birth, Class 10 Roll Number, Mobile Number, Email ID, and create a password.
4. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email ID. Enter the OTP to verify and complete registration.
5. After successful registration, you will get a Registration ID. Save it for future login.
6. Login to the portal using your Registration ID and Password.
7. Click on “Apply” and select the post you wish to apply for (Advertisement No. 01/2026).
8. Fill in all mandatory details carefully: Personal Information, Communication Details, Educational Qualification, Category, Employment Details (if any).
9. Upload scanned copies of recent photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm), signature (3.5 cm × 1.5 cm), and other required documents in JPG/JPEG format with size limit as specified.
10. Pay the application fee (if applicable) through online mode – Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
11. Preview the entire application form carefully before final submission.
12. Click on “Final Submit” button to complete the application process.
13. Download and take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
14. Note : Candidates can apply for multiple posts by paying the application fee separately for each post.

• Salary / Pay Scale :
  • Junior Engineer (Level-6) : ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 per month + DA + HRA + TA + Other Allowances
  • Assistant Engineer (Level-7) : ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 per month + DA + HRA + TA + Other Allowances
  • ASO & Legal Assistant (Level-6) : ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 per month + DA + HRA + TA + Other Allowances
• Selection Process :
  1. Computer Based Test (CBT) – Tier I : Objective type MCQ-based exam covering General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Hindi Language & Comprehension, English Language & Comprehension, and subject-specific questions based on the post applied for. Total marks: 200. Duration: 2 hours.
  2. Document Verification : Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for document verification. All original certificates must be produced for verification.
  3. Typing / Skill Test (if applicable) : For ASO and Legal Assistant posts, candidates will have to appear for a typing test to verify their typing speed.
  4. Final Merit List : Prepared based on marks obtained in the CBT exam and document verification.

• Job Profile : Selected candidates will work under various departments of Government of NCT of Delhi including PWD, MCD, DJB, NDMC, and other autonomous bodies. Responsibilities include designing, planning, supervising construction works, administrative duties, legal work, etc., depending on the post.
• Career Growth : Excellent promotion opportunities available based on seniority and performance. Regular increments and career advancement to higher positions like Senior Engineer, Executive Engineer, Superintendent Engineer, etc.
• Probation Period : Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 2 years from the date of joining.
