Qualification (योग्यता)

Navik (General Duty)

  • Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from a board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

Navik (Domestic Branch)

  • Class 10th passed from a COBSE-recognized board.

Yantrik

  • Option 1: Class 10th passed from a COBSE-recognized board and a 3- or 4-year Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by AICTE.

  • Option 2: Class 10th and 12th passed from a COBSE-recognized board and a 2- or 3-year Diploma in the above disciplines approved by AICTE.

Note: Candidates must fill all subject marks as per their marksheet. Yantrik candidates without an original diploma certificate at Stage-II must bring a provisional certificate, and the original is mandatory at Stage-III.

How To Apply (आवेदन कैसे करें)

1. Online Application: Apply through the official website https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in/cgept/ from 11 June 2025 (11:00 AM) to 25 June 2025 (11:30 PM).

2.Registration:

  • Register using a valid email ID and mobile number, which will be encrypted in the application.
  • Candidates must remember their login credentials, as retrieval is not possible.

3. Document Upload:

Stage-I (Compulsory):

  • Recent passport-size color photograph (not older than 3 months, light background, no cap/spectacles except for Sikhs).
  • Live image capture during registration for facial matching.
  • Scanned signature.
  • Date of Birth proof (Class 10th marksheet or Birth Certificate).
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport; Aadhaar preferred).

Selection Process

The selection process comprises four stages:

Stage-I: Computer-Based Online Examination

  • Document Verification: Identity proof, E-admit card, and two passport-size photographs required. SC/ST candidates need additional documents for travel allowance.

  • Biometric Recording: Left thumb biometric (or right thumb if not possible); no other fingers accepted. Mehndi/wax may disqualify candidates.

  • Written Test: As per the exam pattern above.

Stage-II: Assessment, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Document Verification, and Medicals

  • Basic Identity Check and Biometric Verification: Candidates failing identity checks are disqualified.

  • Assessment Test: OMR-based, qualifying in nature.
