Qualification (योग्यता)

• Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
• Final Year Students : Candidates appearing in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree OR those who have completed the degree but are awaiting results can also apply provisionally.
• However, they must submit proof of passing the degree at the time of interview/personality test, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
• NCC Certificate Holders : Candidates holding NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will receive additional weightage during the interview stage.
• Candidate must be a Citizen of India.
• Note : No minimum percentage is required, but candidates must have a valid degree.

How To Apply (आवेदन कैसे करें)

1. Visit the official UPSC website at www.upsc.gov.in or direct online application portal at upsconline.nic.in.
2. Click on “Online Recruitment Application (ORA)” for various Examinations of UPSC.
3. Find and click on “CAPF (ACs) Examination, 2026” link.
4. If you are a new user, click on “New Registration” and complete Part-I registration by providing basic details like name, email, mobile number, etc.
5. An OTP will be sent to your registered email and mobile. Verify the OTP to complete registration.
6. After registration, you will receive a Registration ID and Password. Note them down carefully.
7. Login using your Registration ID and Password, then proceed to Part-II of the application form.
8. Fill in all mandatory details including personal information, educational qualification, category, address, and preference of forces (if applicable).
9. Upload scanned copies of recent photograph (3.5 cm × 3.5 cm), signature, and other required documents in the specified format and size.
10. Pay the application fee online (if applicable) through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
11. Review and verify all entered details carefully before final submission.
12. Click on “Submit” button to complete the application process.
13. Download and take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
14. Note : Once submitted, no corrections or withdrawal of application will be allowed.

Other Information (अन्य जानकारी)

• Salary / Pay Scale : As per 7th Pay Commission – Pay Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) per month + Grade Pay + DA + HRA + Transport Allowance + Other Allowances. In-hand salary approximately ₹70,000 – ₹80,000 per month initially.
• Selection Process :
  1. Written Examination (19 July 2026) : Two papers – Paper-I (General Ability and Intelligence – 250 marks) and Paper-II (General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension – 200 marks). Total 450 marks. Negative marking of 1/3rd for wrong answers in Paper-I.
  2. Physical Standards Test (PST) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET) : Candidates who qualify the written exam will undergo physical tests including running, long jump, high jump, and other physical efficiency parameters as per prescribed standards. This is qualifying in nature.
  3. Interview / Personality Test (150 marks) : Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview to test their suitability for the post.
  4. Medical Examination : Candidates who clear the interview will undergo a detailed medical examination as per prescribed standards.
  5. Final Merit List : Prepared based on combined marks of Written Exam (450) + Interview (150) = Total 600 marks.
• Physical Standards (Male Candidates) :
  • Height: Minimum 165 cm (157.5 cm for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes)
  • Chest: 80-85 cm (unexpanded-expanded)
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age
• Physical Standards (Female Candidates) :
  • Height: Minimum 157 cm (for CISF – 155 cm; for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and Scheduled Tribes – 150 cm)

• Exam Pattern – Paper I (General Ability and Intelligence) : 250 marks, 2 hours duration. Includes General Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, etc.
• Exam Pattern – Paper II (General Studies, Essay & Comprehension) : 200 marks, 2 hours duration. Includes Essay, Comprehension, Precis Writing, General Studies topics like Polity, History, Geography, Economy, Science, Current Affairs, etc.
• Job Profile : Assistant Commandants lead and manage operations in their respective forces, maintain law and order, safeguard borders, protect VIPs, and handle various internal security duties.
