Qualification (योग्यता)
- Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
- Final Year Students : Candidates appearing in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree OR those who have completed the degree but are awaiting results can also apply provisionally.
- However, they must submit proof of passing the degree at the time of interview/personality test, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
- NCC Certificate Holders : Candidates holding NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will receive additional weightage during the interview stage.
- Candidate must be a Citizen of India.
- Note : No minimum percentage is required, but candidates must have a valid degree.

How To Apply (आवेदन कैसे करें)
- Visit the official UPSC website at www.upsc.gov.in or direct online application portal at upsconline.nic.in.
- Click on “Online Recruitment Application (ORA)” for various Examinations of UPSC.
- Find and click on “CAPF (ACs) Examination, 2026” link.
- If you are a new user, click on “New Registration” and complete Part-I registration by providing basic details like name, email, mobile number, etc.
- An OTP will be sent to your registered email and mobile. Verify the OTP to complete registration.
- After registration, you will receive a Registration ID and Password. Note them down carefully.
- Login using your Registration ID and Password, then proceed to Part-II of the application form.
- Fill in all mandatory details including personal information, educational qualification, category, address, and preference of forces (if applicable).
- Upload scanned copies of recent photograph (3.5 cm × 3.5 cm), signature, and other required documents in the specified format and size.
- Pay the application fee online (if applicable) through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.
- Review and verify all entered details carefully before final submission.
- Click on “Submit” button to complete the application process.
- Download and take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
- Note : Once submitted, no corrections or withdrawal of application will be allowed.

- Salary / Pay Scale : As per 7th Pay Commission – Pay Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) per month + Grade Pay + DA + HRA + Transport Allowance + Other Allowances. In-hand salary approximately ₹70,000 – ₹80,000 per month initially.
- Selection Process :
- Written Examination (19 July 2026) : Two papers – Paper-I (General Ability and Intelligence – 250 marks) and Paper-II (General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension – 200 marks). Total 450 marks. Negative marking of 1/3rd for wrong answers in Paper-I.
- Physical Standards Test (PST) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET) : Candidates who qualify the written exam will undergo physical tests including running, long jump, high jump, and other physical efficiency parameters as per prescribed standards. This is qualifying in nature.
- Interview / Personality Test (150 marks) : Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview to test their suitability for the post.
- Medical Examination : Candidates who clear the interview will undergo a detailed medical examination as per prescribed standards.
- Final Merit List : Prepared based on combined marks of Written Exam (450) + Interview (150) = Total 600 marks.
- Physical Standards (Male Candidates) :
- Height: Minimum 165 cm (157.5 cm for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, and members of Scheduled Tribes)
- Chest: 80-85 cm (unexpanded-expanded)
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
