💻 How to Apply Online (Step-by-Step)

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to upsssc.gov.in.

2. Login with PET Credentials: Use your PET 2025 Registration Number and OTP sent to your registered mobile/email.

3. Auto-fill Details: Your personal info (Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Category) will auto-populate from PET data.

4. Select Posts: Choose either/both “Vidhan Bhawan Rakshak” and “Vidhan Bhawan Fireman”.

5. Enter Priority: Order your preference for departments/posts.

6. Verify Photo/Signature: Your PET photo & signature will be displayed (no new upload required).

7. Pay Fee: Pay online via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or SBI Challan.

8. Submit & Print: After successful payment, download the final application form.

💡 Pro Tip: Fee reconciliation may take 2-3 days. Do not wait until the last date (June 29) to pay. Ensure the fee is adjusted by July 6.

📝 Main Exam Pattern (लिखित परीक्षा योजना)

The selection is based solely on the Written Main Exam. The physical test is qualifying.

• Total Questions: 100

• Negative Marking: Yes (0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer)

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can I apply if I did NOT take the PET 2025 exam?

No. As per the notification (Page 1, Special Statement), only those who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET)-2025 and received a scorecard can apply for this main exam.

2. I got negative or zero marks in PET 2025. Can I apply?

No. Candidates who scored zero or negative marks (Absolute or Normalized) in PET 2025 will not be shortlisted for the Main Exam.

3. My PET result says “Under Investigation (UI)” or “Provisional”. Can I apply?

Yes, provisionally. You can apply, but your final selection will be subject to the outcome of the commission’s investigation.

4. Can I edit my application after submission?

Yes, but only limited fields. You can edit your correspondence address, EWS status, Horizontal reservation (DFF, Divyang, Ex-Servicemen), and marital status. Editing is allowed only until July 6, 2026.

5. Is the Physical test the final selection?

No. The Physical test (height, chest, weight) is qualifying only. The final merit list is prepared based on written exam marks (provided you pass the physical standards).

6. Do I need to upload a new photo and signature?

No. Your photo and signature uploaded during PET 2025 will be auto-filled. You cannot change them for this application.

7. What is the preferred educational qualification?

Intermediate (10+2) pass is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with 2 years of service in the Territorial Army or a ‘B’ certificate from NCC.

8. Is there negative marking in the written exam?

Yes. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks (1/4th) will be deducted.

9. I am a female candidate from UP but married. Will I get reservation?

Reservation for women is subject to a pending High Court decision (Special Appeal No. 475/2019). However, female candidates will be placed in their original vertical category (SC/ST/OBC/Gen). Only a caste certificate issued from the father’s side is valid for UP women.

10. I live outside UP. Can I get a reserved seat?

No. Only Uttar Pradesh domicile holders are eligible for reservation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS). Non-UP candidates will be considered General category only.
