AHC PS Selection Process 2026 (चयन प्रक्रिया)

The AHC PS APS Selection Process 2026 consists of 3 Stages. Candidates must qualify all three stages to be considered for final selection. Below is the complete stage-wise process:

Note: Stage II (Shorthand Test) – Top 10x candidates per category from Stage I will be called. Stage III (Interview) – Top 3x candidates per category from Stage II will be called. Final merit list is prepared on aggregate of all 3 stages.

AHC PS Syllabus 2026 – Stage I (पाठ्यक्रम)

📘 Stage I – Part A : General Studies (सामान्य अध्ययन)

Type: Multiple Choice Objective | Questions: 100 MCQ | Max Marks: 200 | Duration: 90 Minutes | Negative Marking: No

Each correct answer carries 2 marks. No negative marking. The AHC PS Syllabus 2026 for Part A covers the following topics:

Note: Question paper of Stage I Part A will be available in both English and Hindi. In case of any discrepancy, the English version will be treated as final.

💻 Stage I – Part B : Computer Knowledge Test (कम्प्यूटर ज्ञान परीक्षण)

Type: Computer Based Test (CBT) | Max Marks: 100 | Duration: 15 Minutes | Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50 out of 100

• A copy of part of a Judgment (approximately 500 words) in ENGLISH will be given to candidates.
• Candidates must reproduce the same on computer in the same format within 15 minutes.
• Value of each mistake: 1 mistake = 0.200 marks deducted
• Left-out words and spelling mistakes are treated as full mistakes.
• Errors in punctuation, bold/italic, justification per line (Left, Right & Centre) are treated as full mistakes.

✍️ Stage I – Part C : Subjective Type Translation Test (अनुवाद परीक्षण)

Type: Subjective (CBT) | Max Marks: 100 | Duration: 15 Minutes | Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50 out of 100

• Translation of a passage of approximately 250 words given in Shorthand to English on Computer.
• Passage is taken from Sir Isaac Pitman’s Book.
• Value of each mistake: 1 mistake = 0.400 marks deducted
• Left-out words and spelling mistakes are treated as full mistakes.

Important: Part A, Part B, and Part C of Stage I are conducted in a SINGLE SHIFT with a gap of 15 minutes between each part.

AHC PS APS Syllabus 2026 – Stage II : Shorthand Dictation Test

Type: Computer Based Test (CBT) | Max Marks: 200 | Minimum Qualifying Marks: 160 out of 200

Duration: 05 minutes for dictation + 30 minutes for transcription

• A dictation of a passage in ENGLISH of 500 words (approximately) in 5 minutes will be given.
• Candidates will take down the dictation in Shorthand and then transcribe the same on computer within 30 minutes.
• Required speed: English Shorthand – 100 WPM, English Typewriting – 40 WPM.
• Value of each mistake: 1 mistake = 0.400 marks deducted
• Left-out words and spelling mistakes = Full mistake.
• Error in paragraphing and punctuation = Half mistake.

Note: Only top 10 times the number of vacancies per category from Stage I will be shortlisted for Stage II.

AHC PS Syllabus 2026 – Stage III : Interview (साक्षात्कार)

Maximum Marks: 75

• Only top 3 times the number of vacancies per category (based on combined Stage I + Stage II marks) will be called for Interview.
• The Final Merit List is prepared on the basis of aggregate marks of Stage I + Stage II + Stage III = 675 Total Marks.
• In case of a tie, the candidate older in age will be placed higher in the merit list.
• The merit list shall remain valid for 1 year or until the next selection, whichever is earlier.

1. Cover General Studies thoroughly – Focus on UP-specific topics like culture, agriculture, and trade as they carry special weightage in the AHC PS Syllabus 2026.

• The AHC PS Recruitment 2026 exam is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
• Candidates must appear in all Parts and Stages of the exam. No exemption is given to any category including Physically Handicapped.
• The question paper of Stage I Part A will be in both English and Hindi. In case of dispute, English version is final.
• Answer Key for Part A will be published online and candidates can challenge at Rs. 500/- per challenge. Fee is refunded if the challenge is accepted.
• No mobile phones, electronic gadgets, calculators, or Bluetooth devices are allowed at the exam centre.
